As a foreigner you can make a mortgage if you have all the proper documentation and reside in the country. Some banks do this kind of mortgages to foreigners and immigrants.
Mortgages for foreigners often occur in countries with mature markets with high debt. Banks seek to capture new segments of the population and this segment is likely to make mortgages more years.
The problem with this type of mortgage is that, along with the other types, have been hit hard by the housing crisis so have collapsed and now is very difficult to get.
A peculiarity is that they require less formal national requirements. A few years ago, only had to demonstrate regular income but not cash payroll, because many of the foreigners who had acquired no formal contract.
In many cases they did not have any guarantee. The guarantee would normally provide the family and many of these people may not have family support.
But with the housing crisis loans to foreigners have completely stopped. Many of the people who had temporary contracts were the first to lose their jobs.
